About the RDFLL

The role and constitutional position of the armed forces.

Purpose

The Royal Defence Forces of Links Land defend national sovereignty, territorial integrity and the constitutional order.

Accountability

The RDFLL is accountable to Parliament and the Constitutional Court. The Monarch serves as ceremonial Commander-in-Chief; operational command is exercised by the Minister of Defence.

Core tasks

  • protect Links Land and its constitutional institutions
  • maintain awareness of activity in the air, on land and at sea
  • support emergency services when civilian capacity is exceeded
  • train a disciplined force capable of operating jointly

Defence posture

The RDFLL maintains a proportionate, defensive posture. Readiness is built through training, reliable communications and the ability to assemble joint teams at short notice.
